I created “carts & closets” as a space to share all of my favorite products, outfits, trend edits, and so much more. These are items I am currently obsessing over sourced from: my digital shopping cart and pulled straight from my closet.
Think of it as a mini vogue style subscription sent straight to your inbox.
If you are ever interested in shopping my carts & closets feel free to shop here.
A non-exhaustive list of random things I find chic:
all black outfits
Truly, nothing does it for me like an all black outfit. Even better if each piece is the exact same shade of black. I remember someone once said, a true sign of wealth is if the blacks match and I have not been able to unsee it since.
bold statement jewelry
Gone are the days of stacking and layering. Don’t get me wrong, I still love a cute layered collection. However, opting for a couple of bold statement pieces can really bring together a minimalistic outfit with hardly any effort.
the perfect denims
Believe me, when I find the perfect pair of denims I will send out an alert. In the meantime, I will continue to obsess over the way a staple pair of blue jeans can completely change an outfit.
french twists & combs
French twists are the easiest updo to add an extra level of je ne sais quoi to an outfit. But I don’t always love the look of a claw clip distracting from the intricacies. Switching over to French combs has been a game changer and I mean come on, it only makes sense right?
short clean nails
Acrylics are out. Natural nails are in. I used to love getting acrylics just as much as any other girl but since I switched to gel over natural nails, I won’t be going back. There’s just something about short nails in sheers and soft colors that remind me of Grace Kelly. I love that you can still get range with natural nails - from short and clean to shaped and French without the extra hassle.
Recently, I have switched over to at home mani’s using the vegan polishes by Manucurist and am fully obsessed with how easy and convenient they are to apply and even more so, to take off. I love that I can get the look and wear of a gel mani while still maintaining the overall health and strength of my nails. I will shamelessly plug a code here if you are interested in shopping the site 15% off (nailsofsummy).
cherry red accents
Adding a singular pop of color into an otherwise monochromatic look is ultra chic. But cherry red is next level. There is something about the deep rich port color that exudes confidence and appeal.
soft natural makeup
You know those girls that show up to their 8am pilates class with their skin glowing as if they just came from a facial? That is the look we are going for here. Find products and application styles that accentuate your best features while leaving you with a dewy glow. This will leave you looking refreshed, hydrated, and effortlessly chic.
a signature lip combo
There’s nothing more chic than being known for a signature lip combo. Growing up, my aunt was known for keeping a Dior lip balm in her purse at all times and she would use it as a blush, eyeshadow, and lippie for every occasion. You could have a lot of fun playing around with this and finding a signature staple to add to your rotation. My faves are: mac soar pencil and mehr lipstick, mac dervish pencil and summer fridays pink lip balm, mac spice and a nude lip balm, and the Dior lip glow in rosewood.
mixing textures
Silky slip dresses with crisp structured blazers, soft asymmetrical tops with loose washed denims, linen skirts with sneakers… the possibilities are endless. I absolutely adore when people mix pieces from different seasons, textures, and styles to create their own look.
minimalist cosmetic bags
Let’s go through our shelves and find out what we REALLY need. I know I have fallen victim to stocking my shelves with a seemingly endless supply of lotions and potions, but there is no way all of that is really doing anything for me. Minimizing and downsizing your skincare and makeup routines to fit into one tiny cosmetic pouch is ultra chic. Bonus points if it’s a cute pouch that matches your personality or outfit.
delicate bracelet watches
Think back to the days where having a timepiece was quite necessary. Trade out your smart watch for a delicate bracelet and ditch the ginormous screen that leaves bad tan lines.
warm tea after meals
This is a personal favorite. I am known for having warm licorice tea after dinner and it always reminds me of a time in which people used to sit around the fire after dinner and share stories over tea.
a classic pair of sunnies
Nothing beats a classic oversized tortoiseshell with gold detailing or a sleek black pair that frames your face perfectly. Having the perfect pair of glasses can really elevate your entire look and bring it all together.
vintage combs & niche makeup
Vintage combs are the cutest little accessory to leave in your trinket dish. I have found a lot of iridescent tortoise shell-esque combs. The gold detailing on this byredo eyeshadow palette is to die for and would look stunning left out on your vanity.

I love this series! I definitely feel the same way about wearing the same shades of black. It creates a cohesive look. I’m thinking of dyeing all my black pieces soon for that uniformity
Now I want this entire thread to become my ✨personality✨ with of course some statement colorful pieces of jewelry like, cherry earrings or something and chunky new balances because I like it.
